Radio station More FM is working to raise money for the charity KidsCan to tackle child poverty.
From 6am on September 21 radio hosts from the station will be joined by celebrities such as Richie McCaw, Dan Carter, Dave Dobbyn and Jason Kerrison, and media personalities John Campbell, Hilary Barry, Mike McRoberts and Samantha Hayes in a fundraising event that will also see a variety of activities held throughout the week up and down the country.
The activities will include Guinness World Record bungy jumps, a celebrity basketball game, trivia nights, and a Rainbows End challenge.
All proceeds from the week’s events will go to KidsCan.
“The More Day initiative will make a big difference to KidsCan and the money raised will go towards providing food, shoes and raincoats for children less fortunate than others in low decile schools around New Zealand,” says founder and chief executive of KidsCan, Julie Chapman.
More information on More Day and the week’s events can be found at morefm.co.nz.
