Radio DJ Marc Ellis has climbed more than 300 metres above Auckland's CDB this morning to the very top of the Sky Tower.

The More FM host conquered his fear of heights as he scaled almost 400 ladder rungs, past the crows nest, to the top of the needle.

The climb was to celebrate the Sky Tower's 15th birthday.
