The race to find a replacement for Bluey McLennan at the Warriors has taken another turn.
Current assistant coach for the Canberra Raiders, Justin Morgan, has been invited to Auckland for an interview after initial phone contact.
Warriors management declined to comment, but it is understood the club are resigned to missing out on their No 1 target, incumbent Storm coach Craig Bellamy.
Morgan played alongside former Warriors coach Ivan Cleary during their 2002 campaign, which saw the team become Grand Finalists.
He also has Super League experience, having coached Hull Kingston Rovers from 2005-2011
