Cadbury has never been a "NZ Company". It is a UK company and was founded in the UK so people, please get your facts straight before you slander a company that you have never even owned!

Well all i can say listening is its a company issue.. I dont think its will last in NZ because its about profit and if its wasnt in the news people will buy what they like, if the taste changes then that is different. I understand having better machines etc and more production for profits but the job issue.? I think its to expensive to manufacture in NZ, of they would open an new site and make more jobs also and export etc.. There is a reason to go to Aussie and they want less little factories and bigger ones. The market is bigger in Aussie The milk sent there is for export products. In time the NZ factories will be to expensive to run and it will be on the news it was the USA's fault. The brand names and manufacturing has been going for years now like the clothing industry etc.. The government need to think hard or the palce wont grow nor will they get tax. Maybe one reason they are cutting benefits and prices keep going up. Dont blame the kids driven to drink as there future only seems good to get a job over seas..? what do you think.

Shame on you John Campbell and TV3, if you are intent on promoting this perception of the average kiwi consumer being a parochial sod, at least get your facts right. The UK Somerdale factory was set to close well before Kraft bought Cadbury. Yes this is sad but surely there are more important things to worry about than where Moro is made... get over it or go and buy some Roses. Clearly a slow news week in little ole NZ.

I won't be buying any more Cadbury products again not even the stuff made in NZ. This Easter I am going to get myself a packet of Hot Cross Buns (those ones with no raisins) and a block of Whittakers chocolate. Easter eggs are always a rip off anyhow when you think about the price you pay for something that is shaped like an egg, the amount of chocolate you get in one big egg and the price you pay could buy you a block of chocolate. I think our government needs to bring back some regulations to stop our NZ companies moving off shore. Like this may sound radical but I say bring back import tarrifs. Import tarrifs are the reason many great things were once made in NZ from the Fisher and Paykel washing machine to a NZ assembled Japanesse car to a Swandri, those were the good old days.Oh and I forgot Watties Sauce that used to be made in NZ.

I think there needs to be a nationwide petition, against the slow but sure destruction of New Zealand icons. Bring on Whitakers Chocolates. I had a Cadbury energy chocolate bar the other day, and it no longer tastes like it used to. It even smelt different. Flavour, consistancy are a dying concept with this company.

WHO HAS TAKEN OVER CADBURY???Have you noticed that the outer wrapper of the Cadbury chocolate block (supposably being produced in Australia) has an ISLAMIC symbol? I am sure NZers would be interested in knowing who is FUNDING/PRODUCING what WAS OUR NEW ZEALAND company!!Interesting!!! Good one to get your teeth into !!! Keep up the good work. Regards Yvonne.
