Steve and Debbie Rasmussen are a remarkable couple from Ballarat. They adopted three children from Haiti — Rebecca, Tim, and Jonas. Then watched them grow into fine young Australians, with accents as broad as the Nullarbor.

But the bonds with Haiti always held fast. And when the earthquake struck, the Rasmussens had to act. So began an emotional journey to help the relief operation and search for someone very special indeed.

60 Minutes reporter Charles Wooley has the story.
