Motueka child crushed by felled trees

A five-year-old child has died at Motueka High School after being crushed by fallen trees.

It is understood the boy was playing with friends on a pile of logs when one rolled on top of him.

Police were called around 5.45pm this evening.

It is unknown if the boy was still alive when emergency services arrived at the scene. They are still at the scene.

If you blame the contractor for leaving logs should you not also blame the parent for not watching the child... there will be for & against on both sides, lets just mourn & let the rest go....
