Hundreds showed up at a West Auckland church this morning for the funeral of toddler Aisling Symes.

Mourners began to arrive around 10:15am at Ranui Baptist Church, the 450 seats quickly filling.

Among the first to arrive were Aisling's parents and inspector Gary Davey, who headed up the investigation into the toddler's disappearance.

The funeral is also being screen lived on giant TV screens outside to cater for the hundreds more mourners that showed up.
