A 23-year-old man has been arrested and charged with the murder of a man whose body was found in an East Auckland house.
A homicide investigation was launched after the body of a 24-year-old man was discovered at a house in Half Moon Bay, about 11:15pm on Friday.
The body was found after police were called to a car that had crashed into a house, less than five kilometres away, in Gosford Drive, Botany Downs.
Detective Inspector Jim Gallagher says a 23-year-old man from Pakuranga has been arrested and charged with murder.
He will appear in Manukau District Court on Tuesday.
Police still want to hear from anyone who may have seen a two-door 1996 silver Mitsubishi Mirage Sports car between 9:30pm and 11pm on Friday in the Half Moon Bay and Pakuranga area.
