Rockers Muse are set to thrill fans as the headlining act at the UK's Reading and Leeds festivals this year - and they're preparing a special set to mark 10 years since the release of their album Origin Of Symmetry.
The band will top the bill at the August event and they're already busy preparing their performance for fans - factoring in songs from throughout their career and brand new stage sets.
A statement posted on the band's website reads, "We're very pleased to announce that Muse will be headlining this year's Reading and Leeds festivals.
"At the festival, to celebrate 10 years since the release of Origin Of Symmetry, Muse will be playing songs from this album alongside others spanning their career to date.
"Not only this, but they'll also be bringing a whole new stage production that will only be used for these two performances."
The group will appear at the Leeds leg, in north England, on August 26 and at Reading, in the south of the UK, on August 28.
Origin Of Symmetry is a Muse fan favourite, regularly popping up in greatest album ever lists. The hit single 'Plug In Baby' was voted as having the best guitar riff of the decade by readers of Total Guitar magazine.
Also, the Strokes are set for a triumphant return to the UK, playing their biggest British show for nearly 10 years.
The 'Last Nite’ hitmakers have been unveiled as one of the top acts for the festivals this August as they hit the road to promote their new album, Angles.
Their set, in Reading on the Friday of the event and in Leeds the following night, will be their biggest concerts in the UK since 2002 - when they headlined at the same festival.
My Chemical Romance will top the bill on alternate nights to Muse and The Strokes, while Beady Eye, The Horrors, The Vaccines, Pete Doherty, Jane's Addiction, Crystal Castles and Friendly Fires are also slated to perform.
