After an anxious wait, high school students can finally access their NCEA results online - a day after website testing briefly allowed some to view their scores, leaving others frustrated.
The New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) made results for more than 163,000 students available on its website on Tuesday.
Marked exam papers will be returned to students from late January, while school result summaries and records of achievement are also available upon request and will be mailed out to students.
NZQA says New Zealand is the only country that returns marked exam papers to students, and students will have until February 18 to apply for reviews and reconsiderations of their papers, or to ask NZQA to recheck or re-mark standards.
New Zealand Scholarship students will be able to view their results online from mid-February.
The release comes a day after some students were able to view their results between 6:25am and 6:30am as final website testing was taking place.
NZQA runs NCEA results in the early morning as part of its checks before it's announced that results are available.
