Hilary Barry accepts her award for Best News or Current Affairs Presenter

Winners of the Aotearoa Film and Television Awards (AFTA) 2011 were announced last night.

TV3's Hilary Barry has taken away Best News or Current Affairs Presenter for her coverage the day the second Christchurch quake hit in February.

3 News reporter Hamish Clark won Best News Reporting and Journalist of the Year for his Christchurch quake coverage.

Best investigation of the year went to TV3's Campbell Live for its exposure of a tsunami aid money scam.

TVNZ's One News took out the best news for the fourth year in a row.

Love Story won best feature film.

Maori Television's Native Affairs won best current affairs series.

Best actress went to My Wedding And Other Secrets' actress Michelle Ang; and best performance by an actress in television went to Super City's Madeleine Sami.

Best lead actor in a feature film went to Rawiri Paratene for his role in The Insatiable Moon.

Shortland Street's Rena Owen won best supporting actress; while the writer of Outrageous Fortune, James Griffin, won best script.

TV One's This is Not My Life was nominated for seven awards and was best production design and best image and sound winner.

7 Days won best comedy, and its presenter Jeremy Corbett won best presenter.

MasterChef New Zealand won Best Entertainment or Factual Entertainment Program.
