The New Zealand Diamondblacks head to Taipei next month to chase a spot in the World Baseball Classic – the sport's pinnacle international event.
The team are now in camp in Auckland, and manager Andy Skeels, the first New Zealand-born player to ever play professionally in the United States, likes what he sees.
“I had no idea what I was going to be in store for, so I was very curious to see how things were going to look,” he says. “I tell you what – I've been impressed, really impressed.”
