Japanese golfer Toshinori Muto will contest next year's NZPGA Championship in Queenstown, tournament organisers say.
The 34-year-old joins Japan Tour regulars Brendan Jones (Australia) and David Smail (New Zealand), as well as China's Kevin Huang and Michael Hendry (New Zealand) who have both secured their tour cards for next year.
Muto, ranked 103rd in the world, picked up six top 10 finishes on the Japan Tour this year including victory at the Kansai Open Golf Championship, his fifth career title on the tour.
The NZPGA Championship runs from February 28 to March 3 at The Hills.
