New Zealand’s favourite Westies and former Breakfast co-hosts and are dominating the TV Guide People’s Choice Awards.
Even in its sixth and final season Outrageous Fortune has managed another clean sweep of the TV Guide Best on the Box Awards for the fifth year running.
Robyn Malcolm has held on to her Best Actress title and her co-star in the hit TV series, Antony Starr, has continued to dominate both the Sexiest Man and Best Actor categories for the third and fourth year in a row.
The award for Best Drama has also been awarded to the series.
And it seems the public also have a passion for two former Breakfast presenters.
Henry has been voted Best Presenter as well as Funniest Person on TV.
His former co-host Wetzell has also been awarded New Zealand’s Sexiest Woman on television, knocking Robyn Malcolm off the spot.
“Perhaps because Robyn’s character ended up in prison, it may have influenced viewers this time round.
“I have no doubt that there are plenty of people out there who believe she is still very sexy,” says Wetzell.
In the current affairs arena, TV3 dominated with John Campbell taking the Best Current Affairs Presenter title and Campbell Live taking the Best Current Affairs Show beating out 60 Minutes and Close-Up for the first time.
The 27 winners of the TV Guide Best on the Box Awards were decided by more than 10,000 TV Guide readers over three weeks in February and March in a public vote.
