The managing director of Australian-based Octa Phillip Bioscience Managers is set to invest $2.5 million into a Nelson fish oil company, saying great management is what turns ideas into business success.
Jeremy Curnock Cook spoke to Firstline this morning, saying New Zealand’s science and innovation is world-class.
“Innovation is going to come from all sorts of different places, and New Zealand has a very important role to provide that information, so it’s getting those new ideas into that public domain that is important,” he says.
Mr Curnock Cook says the decision to invest in fish oil came on the back of increasing amounts of research showing fish oil is important in the medical sector.
