The National Party held its annual conference in Auckland at the weekend.

While there was clapping and praise for Prime Minister John Key inside, outside protestors voiced their anger at some of the party's policies.

The party's president Peter Goodfellow says internally, the party is “quite comfortable” with the Government’s direction.

Peter Goodfellow spoke to Firstline’s Rachel Smalley this morning – watch the video.

You wouldnt actually mind proving your assertions about labour losing 29 Billion dollars would you Mike?. LOL since afterall its made up and pulled from a fairy tale book. However National did cost the country 11.5 Billion dollars in damages after the leaky homes fiasco.

Redneck Hillbilly Party?

That partys colours are Red, and they have an emblem of an arm facing the wrong way because, well they are hillbillies!

Economic growth this last quarter, amoung the best in the OECD. Labour is complaining because under them they would be perfroming near the bottom of the OECD.

Tourism numbers the best in 7 years, ie better than before the 2008 recession hit! Oh wait, that just proves Key is not doing his job as Tourism Minister! As Labour would be driving tourists away in droves!

Inflation is down, so again Labour doesn't like that.

Labour is built on corruption. Take the finders fees Labour took in directing ACC/Kiwisaver to invest in shoddy investments like the thief Maddoff. Labour only lost $29 billion of NZ's money with that corruption - but they benefited some finders fees and a few free dinners. What is more important to NZ? Labour corruption to collect a few finders fees and dinners, or NZ not to lose $29 billion? Labour insists the finders fees and dinners were worth every cent!

How about charity? Charity starts at home, so who donates more to charity? Labour or National? Oh wait, Key donates probaly more to charity than the entire Labour MP's because they are so concerned about their own snouts in the public trough they dont care about anyone else!

Labour supports the unions and unions want compulsory unionism. Why? Well its not about the workers as the unions wont work with business for what is best for the business and employees. Instead they only care about the short term membership fees of over a billion a year in membership fees. If they get compulsory unionism, thats a couple of billion for unions to play with so a few can live like kings on hard working NZ'rs efforts. Take the Maritime action which cost NZ over $1 billion for the union to strike over sociable hours!

The redneck hillbilly party. Love how they play down the number of protestors there are and how they generally fob everything off as labours fault. This is a party that refuses to take responsibility for anything and lives in its own little dream world. Can see why the guy is president of the party, well off and white (and has probably previously been charged with insider trading or at least gotten away with it). These fact remains that, National dont like you and wont do anything for you if you are sick, poor, unemployed, female, maori or have a family. National under John Key are becoming a far right political party (with a hell of a lot of prejudices).
