National is still blaming Labour for the secret recordings saga but has not provided any fresh evidence and it is struggling in its effort to get security footage.

Labour hit back today, saying National was guilty of misleading the public and of employing its own nasty tricks campaign.

John Key is still blaming Young Labour activists who were protesting at National's conference last weekend, for being behind the secret recordings.

They say they are not and they want Key to apologise, but he will not.

National is struggling to get security footage from the venue of the conference where the taping took place.

In the recordings, Bill English said he would eventually sell Kiwibank, and lockwood Smith hinted at National having a secret agenda.

National is now trying to make that 'stick' to Labour, while Labour is doing its best to convince voters a hidden agenda exists.

Today Labour mocked National, saying it had found the culprit, showing a photo of a dog wearing a hoodie.

Meanwhile 3 News' secret tape source says he wants to lay low for now but may have more recordings to release in time.

I just think its soo imature having a big cry about "who said what" i feel like our goverment dont realise there are bigger problems in our country like.. homless people..abuse in the home...animal cruelty...homes that dont have enough money to put food on the table.. my opinion is that our goverment needs to stop having events that are like a t.v drama (the hills) they need to start making more new zealanders proud of their goverment... make positive changes not drama!!

Perhaps Labour aren't the guilty party. Who has the most to lose other than Labour if National win this election? Winston of course and the move the media chase John Key the more they leave Winston alone...
