@DAVID - "We do know from past history that stay at homes generally favour Labour 2 to Nationals 1." And THERE is the reason why Labour lost the last two elections... it doesn't metter what party you would/could have voted for, if you don't vote, you don't count.
If all of the people who stayed at home, according to David, had taken the time to step away from their TVs and walk to the nearest polling booth, there could have been a different outcome. The other excuses I have heard are that it is unfair on the left as they (if they have jobs) often have to work on Saturdays and therefore they can't vote. This is rubbish as you can vote prior to the polling day, but it requires that you be organised.

Heehee David, another leftie who believes with all his (small) might that he is correct and his political thoughts/wishes are correct and anyone who agrees with his politics is correct and all others who don't agree are 'rich pricks', 'idiots', 'fooled by Key' blah blah blah.
David...the left have for 4yrs now just said NO to anything the Govt came up with...they have offered no credible alternative policy ( alternative meaning with costings ...that usually always kills Labours Ideas as the magic money tree doesn't actually exist)...so whine and moan and cry away David, your side lost and the way it's going you'll be in with a chance in 2017?! possibly, maybe?...as Mallard/Goff/King/Shearer will have gone by then?..probably not Mallard, I hope he stays...he is the best thing that a National Govt could wish for, he's a walking disaster...hope he stays till he's in his 70's!
