Millie Elder, the estranged daughter of broadcaster Paul Holmes, has been arrested again in Auckland on numerous drugs charges.

She was arrested in the early hours of yesterday morning, charged with possession of class A and C drugs, possession of a pipe, obstructing police and breaching a liquor ban.

Elder will appear in the Auckland District Court on Wednesday.

It is not the first time she has been arrested and charged with these kinds of offences. Already this year she had been arrested and charged three times, but each time the charges were dropped.

She was convicted two years ago after admitting posessing P and allowing drug use at her residence.

They will never give her a criminal record as her Dad is beyond the law, So why keep arresting her, Just a waste of police time really!!

Sorry to hear you are being picked on again, Millie. The discrimination is rife through our entire political outlook and practise. Your human rights are being abused. This is just politics gone mad. I'd like someone to explain what harm she has done merely possessing drugs of whatever description.
I'd like to see the supply of drugs put in the hands of people with some training rather than crooks, thugs, and bent cops and other corrupt public officials.
Most crime surrounding drug supply is not caused by the drugs themselves but the criminal element and environment that pervades the drug scene.
If Millie is just getting high, in her own home, with the company she chooses, and no one is harmed in any way then so what, no crime can be said to have been committed.
If she has a drug problem and wants some help, fine, give her the encouragement she needs to change her thinking and behaviour, but prison will probably only harden her resolve to keep puffing and team her up with all sorts of characters who may go on to influence her walk in a negative way. Maybe this is what many previous posters' wish for?
In the UK, GP's used to prescibe heroin and cocaine to addicts up until about the nineteen sixties. As a consequence, prohibition related crimes, and levels of addiction were very low.
The American system foist on the rest of us is presently unravelling in the USA as we speak.
Blaming Millie for the problems we have as a nation under drug prohibition policy is to scapegoat her as the Nazi regime once did the Jews.
Good luck with the future, Millie, don't let the ignorance, the anger, and the hate of others turn you against your family and community.

Hayden - I've been doing some research on "P" - you know once you're trapped in the cycle it must be like a living hell. I think we're going to have to build specialised rehab centres to meet demand! I rest my case!

Looks to me she has caged tiger syndrome. Too much inescapable circumstances* since birth(+/- adoption factor) So she mangles her zookeepers for revenge. Raaaawr.

Steve - Yea, I know! I can't help it, I just can't shake off ny mothering instincts!! This "P" is toxic!! Please everyone just stay away! Last night I read a poem on the net, some of you might have read it before, but its so terrible, so please read it! Google Paul Holmes P poem Kiwiblog.

Kathy regardless of whether she is an addict or not she has been given enought chances to go straight and get off the drugs but she hasnt learnt her lesson. Yes addiction is a disease but drug use and posession is breaking the law. So she should have a suspended sentence of 2 years prison. Go to rehab and if she reoffends in the next 3 years she goes to jail for 2 years plus whatever comes from the fresh charges. That would give her yet another chance....oh bugger it she thinks she is like the NZ version paris hilton. Lock the little wench up I'm sick of hearing about her
