The Commerce Commission is encouraging shopper who feel they may have been misled by retailers, to come forward

Wed, 10 Feb 2010 10:00a.m.

The Commerce Commission is encouraging people to come forward if they think they have been misled by a retailer.

It follows a warning issued to Borders bookstores over one of its promotions held last year.

The Wellington stores offered a $20 voucher for purchases over $75, but the gift was only redeemable in separate $10 discounts over two months.

Greg Allan, from the Commission's Fair Trading branch, says consumers need to know their rights.

“We come across it every now and again and we thought this would be a good opportunity just to remind traders that they do have obligations when they’re having these types of promotions to make sure that the headline message isn’t actually changed by any of the terms and conditions.”

Mr Allan says misleading fine print is not a widespread issue.

PizzaHut??

What about Pizza Huts current promotion, 3 pizza's for $13, the pizza shown looks like a large yet what you get is a small.. Was pretty shocked when I opened it to find a small. Sure the website said 7.5" or something but the image looks like a large and I was expecting a large? Why would you sell small pizza's???
Anyone else have this reaction?
