Nearly two years after he mysteriously vanished, along with his distinctive orange Toyota Corolla, police have renewed their pleas for information on missing Nelson teenager Leo Lipp-Neighbours.
The 19-year-old was last seen on January 24, 2010 and despite a reward of $50,000 being offered, police say they are yet to receive one piece of positive information.
They had followed numerous lines of inquiry and possible sightings of Mr Lipp-Neighbours' distinctive orange 1987 Toyota Corolla station wagon around the top of the South Island but had not given up their search for clues, said Detective Senior Sergeant Wayne McCoy.
"In these situations it's very frustrating for the investigation team and extremely distressing for Leo's family. We would dearly love to get closure for his parents and we're not giving up."
Snr Sgt McCoy said he believed someone knew what had happened to Mr Lipp-Neighbours and he urged them to do the right thing and come forward.
