New James Bond movie Quantum of Solace will pay homage to 007 classic Goldfinger - by recreating an iconic scene with new Bond girl Gemma Arterton.

The actress, who plays a spy for British intelligence service MI6 in the movie, had to film a scene covered in oil as her character Agent Fields lies face down across a bed and drowns in the thick, sticky substance.

The images of the scene, published in Britain's Mail on Sunday Live magazine, are reminiscent of the moment actress Shirley Eaton was killed in 1964's Goldfinger - when she was asphyxiated after being covered from head to toe in gold paint.
