WOMAD 2014 full lineup announced

After early announcements of Kimbra, Buika and Pokey LaFarge for WOMAD's 10th anniversary concert in Taranaki, the full 2014 lineup was revealed tonight.

The popular world music festival will be held at New Plymouth's Brooklands Park and TSB Bowl of Brooklands from Friday March 14 to Sunday March 16.

The festival will also be opening up a spot in the lineup to a local band via a competition on the WOMAD website.

"Bring your dancing shoes and prepare for another inspirational celebration of music, dance and diversity in Taranaki," says artistic director Drew James. "We have some surprises planned too."

Lineup: DJ Yoda, Moana & The Tribe, Weird Together, Waiora, Tim Finn, The Bads, Shanren, Sam Lee & Friends, Roberto Fonseca, Red Baraat, Osaka Monaurail, Mokoomba, Makana, Los Coronas, Latinaotearoa, La Chiva Gantiva, Emel Mathlouthi, Dub Inc., Delaney Davidson, Danyel Waro, Carminho, Breabach, Asif Ali Khan, Antonio Serrano, Arrested Development, Ane Brun, Airileke, Kimbra, Pokey LaFarge, Buika.
