A bit of a correction is due. The first 3D NZ stamp was issued 20 July, 1994, commemorating the 25th Anniversary of the man on the moon. Perhaps what they meant to say was that this it the first 3D stamp commemorating the Rugby World Cup, not the first NZ 3D stamp regardless of what it is commemorating, which is what is being implied with the current promotion.
