The popping champagne cork may never be the same. There's a new bottle in town that's easier to open, keeps the wine fizzy and removes the risk of flying champagne corks.

The cork can be the sign of a winner, but sometimes it can be a lethal weapon. The old, conventional corks could take an eye out with one pop, so someone's come up with a cork that doesn't explode from the bottle.

Some of the experts are not convinced, but others say the new corks are safer.
