Northland's Zion Wildlife Gardens should be under new ownership by next week.

The park, which was made famous by the Lionman television series, went into liquidation in August last year after ongoing financial issues.

Restrictions were lifted in the High Court in Auckland today, allowing the receivers to progress the current offer that's backed by Lionman Craig Busch.

Mr Busch's lawyer, Noel King says it's a big step forward and describes it as a “positive move”.

“The situation as it was, was like a frozen status. Now, something positive can come from this.”

A hearing about the ownership of the 36 big cats at the park will take place next month.

Surely the cats belong to the big cat trust which craig is apart of and takes care of the cats for them so surely it says as it is Craig looks after the park and the cats as he always did , And i am over the moon that he is back where he belongs and always will belong at Zion

The only people to have profitted out of this sorry mess are the laywers who have made so much money out of this that it could have feed the cats several times over.It has showen that the new zealand law system is a joke as it has pandered to people constantly making excuses to hold up procedings .It looks to an outsider that some of its laywers are the ones calling the shots and telling the judges what to do .How much money has been wasted in all these years that could have been spent on the cats and still certain laywers are trying to hold things up by demanding money up front before this sorry saga can come to it conclusion .It looks to an outsider in my opinion as if they are trying to make people use the funds that the people with the best issues at heart for the cats have fund raised with blood sweat and tears to save these cats so these funds cant go towards saving the cats .HOW IMMORAL so glad im not like some lawyers i dont think i could live with myself .But thats just my opinion .Lets hope this sorry story is now going to end with some good news and the cats can once again take centre stage .
