Could housing upgrades help economy through recession?

A new survey of New Zealand housing shows just over a quarter of our houses could be making occupants ill.

At a time when there are calls for a big infrastructure spend to help the economy get through the recession, could a big spend on upgrading our housing stock be the answer?

Peter Neilson, chief executive of the Business Council for Sustainable Development spoke to ASB Business.
