Stevie Wonder announces extra concerts

Music legend Stevie Wonder has announced two new dates for his New Zealand tour next month.

Wonder, who last performed in New Zealand in 1987, had previously scheduled two concerts but will now play a second Auckland concert and one in New Plymouth.

Wonder has received 25 Grammy Awards and the Lifetime Achievement Award.

His long career includes 49 top-40 singles, 32 Number one singles, an Academy Award, Billboard's 2004 Century Award and being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989.

The "A Wonder Spring Night" New Zealand tour dates:

- Christchurch, Westpac Arena, October 28 (on sale now)

- Auckland, Vector Arena, October 30 (SOLD OUT) and October 31 (tickets on sale September 25)

- New Plymouth, TSB Bowl of Brooklands, November 1 (tickets on sale September 25)
