A £2,000 bikini is being snapped up by eager shoppers.
British department store Selfridges is offering the Anita - designed by Pistol Panties - which includes 5,000 Swarovski crystals, making each centimetre worth around £100.
Selfridges swimwear buyer Helen Attwood told MarieClaire.com: "Swimwear is summer's ultimate style statement. With all the right ingredients and adequate holding-in-pushing-up power a bikini can become a woman's best friend.
"I hope Anita will provide our customers with the ultimate poser appeal this summer."
The piece is half way between a bikini and a swimming costume, with the top and bottom piece linked by a piece of gold rope.
The crystals appear in colour blocks, including pink, blue, green, red and taupe, and are outlined in black.
Although the costume is designed for sunbathing rather than swimming, stores in London, Manchester and Birmingham already have long waiting lists of women eager to get their hands on the limited edition piece.
Although expensive, the Anita is not the most expensive piece of swimwear designed.
In 2006, model Molly Sims wore a two piece worth $30 million in the centre spread of Sports Illustrated magazine's swimsuit issue.
The bikini included over 150 carats of diamonds, including a 51 carat pear-shaped gem, a 30 carat emerald piece and several other diamonds all set in platinum.
Earlier this year, a Malasian designer created a diamond-encrusted gown valued at $30 million, while luxury French shoe designer Roger Vivier unveiled pair of £30,000 high heels.
