37-year-old model Caprice showcased her new Caprice Bourret's By Caprice lingerie and swimwear range at Liverpool Fashion Week yesterday and brought her pet on stage with her to introduce the collection.
In front of an audience of British TV soap stars and soccer players' wives, models were sent down the runway in a series of brightly coloured and patterned pieces, including a high-cut leopard print swim suit, vivid blue and orange padded bras teamed with matching briefs and sheer babydoll tops.
Despite critics claiming the launch at such a low-key event was a comedown for the former Wonderbra model, Caprice insisted she was thrilled to launch her collection in the northern city.
She said: "It was exciting to watch the girls come out. I was looking at the fit and how it looks on the catwalk. I have spent a lot of time and effort and money on the business and I have put my heart and soul into it.
"I love Liverpool for its shops and fashions, it's fantastic. It's the originality that I love. Lots of big acts came out of Liverpool. I thought it was a great opportunity to bring the range to Liverpool.
"I was so excited to take part in Liverpool Fashion Week and to showcase my collection here."
