Cup Day is the customary start of the festive season in Christchurch and this year more than 25,000 people packed into Addington raceway to watch the races, culminating with the $1.2 million NZ Trotting Cup.
However, the day is not just about racing - it is also a chance for Cantabrians to dress up, drink up and sometimes clean up.
