The latest 3 News poll shows National is firmly in control with just six weeks to go until polling day.

Despite Labour's continued attacks on National and leader John Key, the gap has actually slightly opened up.

Well, to be honest Taryn, there was not much to talk about in this one, because the fact is National is in the lead (at the moment)and we can't dispute a fact (facts are devoid of emotion). So I guess the only thing we could get out of this were the photo's. Sorry if we put your nose out of joint

OK since when has this been about how they look in a photo????!!!!!

im sorry but i really did think elections were about what each person wants to do for our country and how they would like to see things progress. NOT about how they look in their photo, whehter its been photoshopped or not. I personally think they photo of Helen looks ok, and dont see how it can be photoshopped at all.

Young people like to side with someone who can relate and connect with them. No party leader fits that "youthful" criteria. Although John Key maybe the closest to that, looking youngish at least.

If you looked at both images of Key and Clark from the point of view of someone who did not know either of them, you would have to agree that Helen looks the more youthful of the two. Hence the reason for the touched up image I suspect. I guess she is betting on the old saying..."a picture says a thousand words". Its a bit of a gamble because those words could be for your good or bad.

Caring about a photo when it comes to casting your vote is on a par with "I DON'T HAVE ANY EVIDENCE FOR IT BUT I THINK THE PRIME MINISTER'S HUSBAND MIGHT BE GAY."

Ugh.

"I am sure no woman minds Helen Clark presenting herself as a true woman"

Are you serious Elsa, that's not even a true photo.

Yep the election is based around trust like Helen said, we can't even trust her to put up a real photo of herself!

I thought for a while that Ms Clark was just using her electoral image to demonstrate that she was indeed Two-faced, but after seeing the cover of the current Women's Weekly it would seem that we now have the Three Faces of Helen.

Someday the time will come when someone who claims, that, in the future, attempted coups will become commonplace, civil disorder and mass-scale rioting will become rife, and corruption a mainstream characteristic of national governance, will not be seen as neither a fruitcake or a nutjob, but as a visionary of prophetic proportions.

Elsa, let's not forget the finanical mess that National had to deal with last time they took the government over from labour. It happens. Not matter what party, they always leave a mess to be cleaned up by the other party.

TO me hte photo Elsa, shows a lot. If she is going ot use an old photo, photoshoped, then she is putting at a flase non honest image of herself. Helen neither looked strong or eperinced when she became PM, no one ever does, until they are in the job and doing the work.

Alien,

Don't ya get it? This election is all about TRUST.

Helen does not TRUST us to elect her if she uses a real pic of herself.
