The Green Party says it won't work with a Labour government if Winston Peters is involved with cabinet.

Co-leader Russell Norman says they want a commission of inquiry into various funding scandals involving New Zealand First.

Over the weekend there were more reports about Winston Peters and United Future leader Peter Dunne and their connections to the racing industry and the so-called donations for policy scandal.

Mr Norman restated his party’s position at the launch of their open government policy.

“I think that if we get to the position post-election where Winston Peters is being proposed as a minister, or if he gets back in, I think he can’t sit around the cabinet table until we clear this issue up,” he said.

“I think the latest allegations are actually the most serious yet because they are allegations of money for policy.”

The move is significant because Labour will need to rely on the Greens and take heed of what Russel Norman has to say if they want to form a centre-left government after the election.

Hi Greens, would not be to concerned about u not working with Winston when u get in, no-one in NZ will be working in NZ within a few years of u being in power with Labour. Anyone with money to invest or skills to sell will have long ago left this country to the dope smokers and rainbow hat wearers, good luck, not sure who will be paying the bills but there will not be much left to buy anyway except mung beans.

Hope all those tourists attracted to our clean green paradise in the future are good at survial skills and self service, they will need to be

Errr hello! What kind of enervated statement is that! Peters never sat around the Labour Cabinet table so there’s nothing to stop the Greens going into coalition with him.

These guys are as deceptive as Peters

The Greens are to be applauded. Winston is a bad smell that just won't go away. Because of his acidic and corrosive personality he has dragged NZ's best Prime Minister in decades into the mire, and that is a very real tragedy and disgrace to this country. He is a pox on our political environment. Stop beating your chest Winston and just go away.
