Test results for swine flu in New Zealand have returned back positive.
The confirmation makes the country the sixth country to officially confirm it has swine flu, third only after Mexico and the US in terms of its severity.
Tonight's positive results are for nine Rangitoto students and their teacher who returned from a field trip to Mexico on Saturday.
The students are said to be well on the road to recovery, although another was diagnosed with Influenza A today and another 66 suspected swine flu cases have appeared around the country.
All of those suspected to have swine flu are now quarantined and face an anxious wait to find out if they have contracted the strain.
Eighteen passengers that came in contact with students on the NZ1 flight are still unaccounted for and the Ministry of Health says it is still vital that they get in touch with them.
The advice for others though is simple - if experiencing any flu symptoms contact a health professional, stay away from others and wash hands frequently.
The students will be allowed to return to school on Thursday.
