Hip-hop sensation Nicki Minaj is hoping to launch a special foundation to "nurture" her female fans and help put them on the road to career success.

The ‘Super Bass’ hitmaker has always stressed the importance of education and safe sex to her young and impressionable devotees, and now she's hoping to empower youths by setting up a female empowerment organisation.

She tells Vogue magazine, "(I'm planning) an enormous foundation to nurture girls. The Nicki Minaj girl is a fun, artsy girl who can become a fierce force to be reckoned with on Wall Street.

"They hang on to my every word, so I tell them, go to school, be ambitious. The worst position is to be financially dependent on the man."

And Minaj reveals she had high hopes of putting men in their place in the courtroom before finding fame as a rapper.

She says, "A huge part of me wanted to be a lawyer! I would do a really good job as a prosecutor."
