Nicole Kidman has taken aim at an Australian news magazine for suggesting she and husband Keith Urban are planning to adopt a Vietnamese baby.

New Idea editors ran with the story after reportedly talking to an official at the Department of International Adoption at the Ministry of Justice in Hanoi.

Dang Minh Dao was quoted as saying, "Nicole Kidman wants a baby from Vietnam. We've been approached by the American Embassy."

But a rep for Kidman, who shares custody of two adopted teenagers with ex-husband Tom Cruise, insists the reports are not true.

The spokesman tells HollyScoop.com that neither Kidman nor her husband spoke to the magazine - and they have never discussed any plans to adopt with the publication.

The couple has a baby, called Sunday Rose, who will turn one in July.
