Not smooth-sailing for Russian RWC team

The Russians have arrived, and boy have they worked hard to get here.

First there had to qualify for their first ever Rugby World Cup, then they had to deal with a series of injuries and poor results. Then there was the plane trip to get here.

Tristram Clayton travelled with the team for the final leg of their epic journey.

But, the Mayor 'did not' accept responsibility. He said, "We are victims of our own success" No, attendees were victims of incompetency.

Lets hope the Russians return home after the RWC with smiles on their faces,and happy that they overcame the odds,and attended the festival of rugby here in distant NZ.
