A small number of Occupy Auckland protesters have returned to Aotea Square, vowing their occupation is not over.

They have not set up another camp, but are meeting to discuss their next move as they square off with the Auckland Council.

Police forcibly removed protesters from the square yesterday morning and have fenced the grass areas off to repair them.

But the closure has affected some homeless people, who are angry the protesters have forced them from the area.

“Before this occupation started, it’s kind of always been their area,” says homeless advocate JD Simon.

“Now they’ve been moved off, I’ve actually got them all at my house, cause they’ve got nowhere to go."

The occupiers camped in Aotea Square for over 100 days, protesting against corporate greed and corruption.
