A group occupying Auckland's Aotea Square will take their protest against inequality to the streets on Friday to march against the multi-million dollar pay packet of Westpac boss George Frazis.

The protesters plan to march on Westpac to draw attention to the wage disparity in New Zealand and what they regard as corporate greed.

It says it will be the first of weekly action against the banking system.

Mr Frazis earned $5.4 million last year, making him the highest paid chief executive in the country.

The occupation of the square is now into its 42nd day with Auckland Council expecting the protest to cost it up to $400,000.
