Jeremy Taylor is a man on a mission.
A mission to devour 25 burgers in two weeks – that's one for lunch and dinner for 12-and-a-half days.
“I’m not on any performance-enhancing drugs, you know, kiwifruit, really rather than laxatives,” he says.
“Failure is not an option.”
It's a test he believes will threaten his health and sanity, but he’s willing to put his body on the line in the name of finding the best burger the capital has to offer in the annual Wellington on a Plate burger competition.
“After the second burger yesterday I was sort of thinking […] but later I'll look back on this and see it as my glory years.”
Rather that cheering from the stands I decided to join in on Jeremy's first week, in order to fully understand the effects on a person of eating multiple doses of meat and bread.
