They say one man's trash is another man's treasure, and I wonder how much this applies to weddings these days!
With the arrival of Facebook and various other networking sites, the sharing of wedding photos has gone viral. Gone are the days of getting your family together to view the much awaited photo album.
It seems now you just need to jump online, and find a link to a friend of a friend's wedding album and voila! Instant access!
Of course this leaves you wide open to other people dishing on your photos. Loved your big princess wedding dress? Bet you won't be so in love with it after someone comments that you look like you're wearing a pavlova!
I'm completely terrified that someone is going to see our wedding photos, decide they hate the colour scheme, or some other detail I probably spent hours working on, and submit our pictures to tackyweddings.com (yes, its an actual website)!
I'm sure plenty of you read about the recent Australian wedding that some described as less than tasteful. In a matter of hours emails were bouncing around the world with the happy couple's photos included alongside some interesting commentary. And just remember, it was probably a friend or relative of the happy couple that sent the photos out in the first place. Eek!
On the flipside, there are some excellent examples of 'treasure' out there too. Perhaps you saw the wedding video with one very large bridal party making their entrance? If not, click here.
My personal favourite however is a video set to a fantastic Queen song, even FH thought this was pretty cool. Check it out.
Remember last week how I was telling you about the surprise that FH and I have planned? What if our guests hate it!? We want our guests to remember our wedding for the right reasons, not the wrong ones...
So if you hear me getting even remotely excited about an idea for our wedding, and you think I'm creeping into 'trash' territory – please let me know!
