One person has died and another has been seriously injured in a crash involving two cars just north of Auckland.
The accident happened on Weranui Road in Wainui, west of Orewa, about 4.20pm on Thursday, an ambulance northern communications spokesman told NZ Newswire.
One person died at the scene and another person was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Police were unable to comment on how the accident happened or if any other vehicles were involved.
