I hear what you are saying, exlabour, its just that a. the National party is giving tax perks to its rich mates (bludgers) while the poor get poorer (which is where the perks are coming from), and b. the apathy you endorse will see another bloody term of National. Ugh! At least with Labour and the Greens, the gap between rich and poor is somewhat closed and more respect is given to the less well-off. And you are right, they DONT have an adgenda of selling off the family silver! Which is good!

I couldn't agree more. Labour and the Greens wouldn't sell the countries assets. They would be too busy lining their own pockets with them like they did for the last 9 years on our taxes. Wake up people, none of them are any good.

The nats' agenda is to sell assets. But Key is quite obviously nervous about the public's backlash re ownership by Asians, because a large part of the nats' support base is anti-asian-ownership. Can't have it both ways! It's either, free market, or nanny state. In this instance Key is nanny-stating, but in a non-PC way (ie reassuring the racists with soothing noises). But the nats' agenda is to sell sell sell in a free-market context, so Key is actually being disingenuous. He is just covering the party's political @r$e. Key and Williamson are on the same page in the back room. You wouldn't have this problem with Lab or the Greens. They don't have a sell-the-family-silver agenda.

Maurice Williamson is pro asset sale. He is from the right of National and supported asset sales in the 90s.

Maurice Williamson is trying to steal our future, and making scurrilous accusations in a stupid attempt to deflect criticism. It doesn't matter what race the buyers are -- the problem is that they live overseas and will take all the profits out of our economy.
