Oprah Winfrey is set to return to her talk show roots by launching a new series to interview celebrities in their own homes.

The TV titan walked away from her successful The Oprah Winfrey Show in May after 25 years on the small screen to establish her own network OWN.

However, Winfrey will soon be back doing what she does best for the channel, hosting Oprah's Next Chapter from January.

The show will feature Winfrey talking to stars at home, starting with Aerosmith rocker Steven Tyler at his house in New Hampshire on 1 January.

She says, "After 25 years I got myself out of the studio chairs. I moved into the next chapter, and I am having more fun than ever - moving around the country and the world talking to people I'm really interested in getting to know and I think viewers will be, too."

Winfrey will also interview George Lucas and Sean Penn as part of the series.
