New Zealander Hayden Paddon holds an all-but unbeatable lead in the Super 2000 class going into the final day of Rally New Zealand, but he's still wary of taking too much for granted.
Paddon, last year's production car world champion, has a massive 36min 12sec lead over second-placed Super 2000 driver Per-Gunnar Andersson and lies 12th overall, 10:45.9 down on rally leader Sebastien Loeb.
But after surviving clutch and gearbox problems on Friday, Paddon is cautious about becoming overconfident.
"It hasn't been too bad, we've been setting some good stage times," he says after racing around Whangarei.
"There's still a lot of room for improvement and we still need to find a good balance in the car to give me good confidence.
"At the moment I'm not able to drive 110 per cent."
