A deathbed confession from a British paedophile could shed new light on the disappearance of Madeleine McCann.

Raymond Hewlett, who died in April, wrote to his son saying Madeleine was abducted by a gypsy gang from the McCann's flat in Portugal in 2007.

Hewlett claims she was stolen by the group who kidnap children for wealthy couples unable to have children or adopt.

The 62-year-old died of throat cancer sufferer and had been a suspect in Madeleine's disappearance.

Im 12 and i belive this is true. I was only 8 when this happended and only till tomight this story has hit me . Whoever did this needs to give her back to her family,her real family. i beilive she did get thken by these people and that apparently they force them to work. In my opionion i dont think that is right , the pain and hurt this has cause her family and herself is not worth taking some little child and working them to despear. I just want her to be found and cared for by her real family so they can be happy and she can be happy once aggain.
