A deathbed confession from a British paedophile could shed new light on the disappearance of Madeleine McCann.
Raymond Hewlett, who died in April, wrote to his son saying Madeleine was abducted by a gypsy gang from the McCann's flat in Portugal in 2007.
Hewlett claims she was stolen by the group who kidnap children for wealthy couples unable to have children or adopt.
The 62-year-old died of throat cancer sufferer and had been a suspect in Madeleine's disappearance.
