Captain Mohammad Yousuf hit himself through to a half century after lunch bringing Pakistan closer to New Zealand’s first innings total of 471 runs on day four of the final test match at McLean Park Napier.

Yousuf combined with Faial Iqbal who is currently the other batsman in the middle for a 50 run partnership that was halted for about 40 minutes due to a rain delay.

In the first session today part-time spinner Martin Guptill took the two early wickets of Faisal Iqbal (12) and Imram Fahrat (5) both caught and bowled.

The test series is currently tied 1-all.
