Sesame Street is coming to Pakistan as a means of combating radicalism.

The US government has ploughed $20 million into the Lahore based version of the show that will begin airing next month.

While Elmo will be part of the programme called Sim Sim Hamara, it mostly features local characters including a cricket obsessed girl and a boy with a love of maths and the tabla.
