Keeping abreast of New Zealand Fashion Week took on new meaning today as former Baywatch star turned fashion muse Pamela Anderson descended upon Auckand's Viaduct Harbour.

Anderson and her co-designer Richie Rich chose New Zealand Fashion Week to launch their new clothing range called A*Muse, which hits the catwalk tomorrow.

Anderson chose to throw a media conference dressed in a scarf... and only a scarf.

Nobody can accuse the pin-up girl slash actress slash animal rights activist slash fashion muse of being shy of the cameras.

She arrived to a fanfare of camera flashes and took to her Kiwi meet and greet with gusto.

The Canadian born sex symbol's body launched a thousand ships and even more red swimsuits when she debuted on Baywatch.

She's squeezed that body into skin-tight leather to star alongside Temuera 'Jake the Muss' Morrison in Barbwire, and she's no stranger to the catwalk either.

The serious business of fashion is clearly not her thing. When asked whether she would let her daughter wear her designs, she replied: "I have two sons, I don't care."

Pam and Richie's A*Muse range will be unveiled here round 6:30pm tomorrow. It is their global launch, and New Zealand's answer to Pamela Anderson - Nicki Watson - is rumoured to be joining her on the catwalk.

This is disgusting..you mean to tell me that is the only way you can draw attention is come out in public naked...why can not women grow up everybody is naked underneath clothing why keep defeating the purpose.Get some customs for yourself we live in society where we cover up.Why is not the police escorting her to a cell for indescent exposure..ooo no hollywood will not allow that unless it was on some domestic level.Women are sorry attention-driven creatures who can never break the spell of selling sexuality which is all they have going. Its a wonder why the world is in chaos, gay activist, feminist movement.etc.Better start teaching women this is not acceptable folks.Shame,Shame, Shame,I digress!

Sorry Pam, you're past it, we've had and seen our Boobs on Bikes plus our own Cat Walk Show. You should have come when you were still in your prime.

Actually Anderson is far from a dipstick. It's easy to make such a statement (based upon criteria that proabably reflect your own lack of reading material) wheras in fact the woman has sound business acumen reflected in a bureoning career at a far from sprightly age that depends on a lot less that her bust size. She is also active in the field of animal welfare (and was well before it became fashionable to be seen to be so). Irrespective of this woman's appearance and the physical assets she has traded with and on she is prepared to lose money becuase of her ethical beliefs which are unpopular...far from dipstick material if you ask me.
