As a new christian (accepted Christ in athiest China of all places!)I see parachute as a wonderful and unashamed gathering for youthful christians of all ages. I think they are genuine people who want others to meet Jesus and this is their way of helping this happen. I will try to go to Parachute next year to fellowship with other belevers - it is a needed outlet for us as we live in a world which doesnt much like our faith. Stacey afte 40 dd years of being a rocker myself I can't in any way understand your comment about Christian music so best I bypass it. Hoff - Those mega churches scare me and when I was looking for a church family in Auckland after coming home from China I got a little freaked out by thier size and their rather upfront call for money - I have since found a smaller and quite cool church family in central Auckland.

Hoff - are you kidding me? How much do people pay for Rhythm and Vines? Over $300. BDO? $150 for ONE DAY! Parachute is soooo cheap for what people get there over four days. Fleecing people out of their money? Doubt it mate.

Parachute festival has almost always operated at a loss. It's supported by those who believe in the vision
